GuidesEmail & AgentMail

Email & AgentMail

Makinari agents can manage email inboxes, reply to customer inquiries, and send outbound campaigns.

When to use

  • You want the Sales agent to run cold email outreach.
  • You want the Support agent to monitor a support@yourcompany.com inbox.

Integration Options

Makinari supports two ways to handle email:

  1. AgentMail (Recommended): A managed infrastructure where Makinari provides dedicated inboxes and webhooks for your agents.
  2. Personal/SMTP Integration (Zavu): Connecting your existing Google Workspace or Office 365 inboxes.

Setting up AgentMail

  1. Go to Settings > Channels > Email in the dashboard.
  2. Select AgentMail.
  3. Choose a domain or subdomain for your agents to use (e.g., agents.yourcompany.com).
  4. Update your DNS records (TXT, CNAME) as instructed in the dashboard to verify domain ownership and ensure high deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
  5. Once verified, Makinari will provision inboxes for your agents (e.g., sales@agents.yourcompany.com).

Outbound Campaigns

When launching an outbound campaign via Email:

  1. The CMO assigns leads to the Sales agent.
  2. The Copywriter agent drafts personalized emails based on lead data.
  3. The emails are sent via your configured AgentMail domain.
  4. Makinari tracks opens, clicks, and replies.
  5. If a lead replies, the inbound message is routed back to the Sales agent to continue the conversation.

Sync and Deliverability

The Email channel relies on background synchronization. Delivery status (Sent, Delivered, Opened, Bounced) is updated asynchronously via webhooks.

If an email bounces, Makinari automatically flags the lead and halts further automated outreach to protect your domain reputation.
